Music Mania

Discover and explore the world of music with daily piano activities, games, crafts, singing, and guest artists. This camp is designed for children with limited or no musical experience.

Ages 5-7 years

Art Play

Children wil explore various mediums creating fun and imaginative projects where music and visual art overlap.  Budding artists will showcase their work in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media in an art show at the end of the program.

Uke 'n Play

This camp will introduce students to the joy that is ukulele!  It will include basic ukulele chords, songs and music theory.  There will also be lots of games and music themed crafts.

Robs Rockin' Rhythm

Students will explore the world of music through percussion using both standard drums and 'homemade' drums, boomwhackers, Orff instruments and more.  Each camper will learn about the different families of percussion instruments, have opportunities to play each different example including African drums, drum kit, hand-held percussion, learning to play with hands and with sticks.  Students will learn and improve counting, rhythm, listening skills through solo and ensemble playing, try improvisation and create a class 'piece' to perform at the end of the week showcase.  Basic harmony and scales are explored using boomwhackers and Orff instruments.  Fun will also be had through arts and crafts (including making an instrument) and related musical/non-musical games.
